CITY OF COTTONWOOD, COTTONWOOD AREA TRANSIT ANNOUNCES INTENT TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE FTA RURAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM AUTHORIZED UNDER 49 U.S.C. SECTION 5311
Two public hearings are scheduled to discuss the Cottonwood Area Transit program. These meetings will be held at the Cottonwood Recreation Center, Cottonwood Room located at 150 S, 6th St. The dates for the public hearing are February 2nd and 9th at 4 p.m. Transportation will be provided for those in need by calling the CAT office at (928) 634-2287.
There will be no Verde Shuttle bus service on New Year’s Day.
Verde Shuttle is expected to operate throughout this week. However, in the event the winter storm makes the roads too dangerous for our buses to travel, our schedules may be modified to ensure the safety of our passengers, drivers and equipment.
On New Year’s Even (12/31), the Verde Shuttle service will not operate it’s late evening runs.
The Sedona Blue Line will be operating to ensure that everyone who arrives on the Verde Shuttle will have a ride home within Cottonwood.
In Cottonwood, ADA Paratransit service will operate as usual on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. However rides for Christmas Eve must be scheduled by Close of Business on December 22. Rides for New Year’s Eve must be schedule by close of business on December 29.
